The Opportunity to Life

Just sharing my experiences, and some of them I got books and tausiyah and sharing with friends. We are as God's creatures in the world have a responsibility to live better. Responsibility to comply with the good life. To be a human being obedient for His commands and leave all His ban. We got opportunity to life in this world are different for every human, there are only one minute after birth, two days, 23 years, 56 years, 65 years or 1000 years. We do not know how long we will live in this world. Although we are healthy life, maybe we have a short time to life, even people who are sick are given long life by Allah SWT to live in this world.

The greatest grace we received from Allah SWT is the grace of Iman and Islam. We were born in a state of faith in Him. All our lives are governed by Allah in the Quran.  It was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW in order to be able to run a better life in this world and the afterlife. But there are still many moslem and including me that have not been able to practice all of which are described in the Quran.

Every day,  we still do many sins even though we know it is a sin, and we do not do our duty as His creatures, even though we know what we have to do. And, we still think that we can life and have long age in this world, so we think that we can be good and remove our sin in old age. Please think that we will never know when we will die, it could be a minute, an hour, a day, a month or a year later or even hundreds of years later. However, we still hold to the principle that we are trying to doing goodness and leave the evil and sin as we will die tomorrow.

It is just for sharing and we remind each other. And, we can choose which one is good and right for our life and the world hereafter because there may be assumed that the speaking or writing easier than doing it.

I remember about five years ago, when I returned to Bukittinggi because on that day the death of my sister. On the way from  Soekarno-Hatta airport to Minang Kabau airport as long as on the way, I listen the Nasyeed song from Opick, and there is one song that I always repeat, which says that

Live in the world, just briefly

When grief, when laughter

Hopefully we will be back into Allah

Time is running

It never comes back again

When hard, when sad

Tear is not everything

Only the servants of God who always surrender

Because everything depends on Him

Only in Him all headed

Second time will pass

Love and grief will pass

Not all immortal

cry, laughter and tears

All passed and gone

It just a piece of nasheed, which reminds us that the time will never be back, so we should be able to use the time wisely for goodness. All that we have, including ourselves going back to him. Do not waste your time and use the opportunity given to us to live better in the world and hereafter by following all his commands and leave all of his ban.

Please don’t think that all of our religion ask is ancient and not modern.  Please look again, this time our lives are more ancient because it follows the lifetime of ignorance before the revelation of the Quran. Women are not respected, a man like a woman, or a woman like a man, people are proud about their beauty and their body and don’t care about sins, pride in doing evil and ignorance, and many more.

Hope we can use our time for doing goodness and get better life in this world and afterlife, Amin..

Kesempatan Hidup

Hanya sharing pengalaman, dari referensi bacaan buku dan tausiyah serta dari hasil sharing dengan teman. Kita sebagai makhluk ciptaan Allah di dunia memiliki tanggung jawab untuk hidup lebih baik. Tanggung jawab untuk memenuhi kehidupan dengan kebaikan. Untuk menjadi manusia yang patuh terhadap perintah Nya dan meninggalkan segala larangannya. Waktu yang diberikan Nya kepada setiap manusia berbeda-beda ada yang hanya satu menit setelah lahir, dua hari, 23 tahun, 56 tahun, 65 tahun atau 1000 tahun. Kita tidak tahu berapa lama kita akan berada di dunia ini. Walaupun keadaan kita sehat belum tentu akan hidup lebih lama dan bahkan orang yang sedang sakit diberikan kesempatan hidup lebih lama oleh Allah SWT untuk hidup di dunia ini. 

Nikmat yang paling besar yang kita terima dari Allah SWT adalah nikmat iman dan Islam. Kita dilahirkan dalam keadaan beriman kepada Nya. Semua kehidupan kita sudah diatur oleh Allah SWT dalam kitab suci Alquran yang diturunkan kepada Rasulullah SAW agar dapat menjalankan kehidupan lebih baik di dunia dan akhirat. Namun masih banyak diantara kita termasuk saya belum dapat mengamalkan semua yang sudah dijelaskan dalam kitab suci Alquran.

Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masih banyak berbuat dosa walaupun kita tahu itu adalah dosa, masih tidak melakukan kewajiban kita sebagai makhluk Nya walaupun kita tahu apa yang harus kita lakukan. Dan kita masih beranggapan bahwa usia kita akan lama hidup di dunia dan akan bertobat di hari tua nanti. Padahal kita tidak akan pernah tahu kapan kita akan meninggalkan dunia ini. Bisa jadi semenit, sejam, sehari, sebulan atau setahun kemudian atau bahkan ratusan tahun kemudian. Namun tetap kita memegang prinsip bahwa kita berusaha untuk berbuat kebaikan dan meninggalkan keburukan seolah kita akan meninggalkan dunia ini besok.

Hal ini hanya untuk saling berbagi dan kita saling mengingatkan satu sama lainnya. Dan kita bisa memilih mana yang baik dan benar untuk kehidupan kita dunia dan akhirat. Karena mungkin ada yang beranggapan bahwa berbicara atau menulis lebih mudah dibandingkan melaksanakannya.

Saya teringat sekitar 5 tahun lalu, saat pulang ke Bukittinggi saat meninggalnya adik perempuan saya. Selama perjalanan dari bandara Soekarno-Hatta ke Bandara Minang Kabau menuju rumah, saya mendengarkan lagunya Opick, dan ada satu lagu yang selalu saya ulangi, yang mengatakan bahwa

Hidup di dunia, hanya sebentar saja

Bila duka, bila tawa

Semoga hati kembali pada Nya

Waktu yang berlari

Takkan pernah bisa kembali lagi

Bila perih bila sedih

Air mata bukan segalanya

Hanya hamba Allah yang selalu berserah

Hanya hamba Allah yang selalu berpasrah

Karena segalanya bergantung pada Nya

Hanya pada Dia semua bermuara

Detik waktu kan berlalu

Tiada semua abadi

Semua berlalu dan pergi

Dari sepenggal lirik lagu Nasyid di atas, yang mengingatkan kita bahwa waktu tidak akan pernah bisa kembali, sehingga kita harus dapat memanfaatkan waktu dengan sebaiknya untuk kebaikan. Semua yang kita miliki termasuk diri kita akan kembali kepada Nya.  Jangan sia-siakan waktu dan gunakan kesempatan yang diberikan Nya untuk kita agar dapat hidup lebih baik di dunia dan akhirat dengan cara mengerjakan semua perintah Nya dan meninggalkan semua larangan Nya.

Jangan pernah berpikir bahwa apa yang diperintahkan agama adalah hal yang kuno tidak modern, coba pikirkan kehidupan kita yang sekarang lebih kuno, karena mengikuti kehidupan zaman jahiliyah sebelum diturunkannya kitab suci Alquran. Wanita sudah tidak dihargai, pria seperti wanita, atau wanita seperti pria, kehidupan yang sejenis, bangga akan kecantikan dan tubuh, bangga dalam berbuat kejahatan dan kebodohan, dan masih banyak hal kuno yang terulang kembali di masa sekarang.

Semoga kita dapat menggunakan waktu dan kesempatan ini untuk kebaikan di dunia dan akhirat. Amin...

For You are Still Loneliness

Don’t feel alone
Because Allah always be with you
Allah is preparing the right partner for you
Allah is watching your preparations in the waiting for

If you are getting better
so  surely Allah would send someone who is good for you
and vice versa

Because honestly you have paint ur partner in your self
If your painting is good and beautiful in your self
So it will be good in result that you will get later

Remember,
May be at this moment there are many peoples are same like you
In loneliness and fill their lonliness by making good in their self
And beseem your self

And it will be one of them that Allah prepare for you
Don’t be finished, although loneliness make you feel tired
Don’t be fill it with your friend that he/she is not halal for you
Although you feel uneasy and bored without a friend to share

Remember,
The stronger you fight loneliness
The better you deserve your self
The closer also Allah leads your heart to your partner
Please be patient in your effort, because Allah’s promise is a certainty

Lesson from Anakluh Movie

Just now I watched a movie about loving, maturity and sincerity. This is a movie film that launched in 2011. The title is Anakluh. Tell about a woman, name is Indayu (43 years old). She was single parent that was left by her husband. She had a two daughter, they are Mira (23 years old) and Kirei (19 years old). Idayu met Nando (43 years old) that was a single man. Their meeting was finding a match each other so that they were in love. Otherwise, her daughter Mira that was close to Nando has in love as well.  Although Mira like that, Idayu never blame her daughter, she tried to open with her daughter like a friend and tried to understand about her daughter's feeling to Nando.

Many lesson that I can learn from this movie that a woman is a great and strong person, but she is a weak person in front of her lover. She has a leadership in her life and in her environment that love her. She can open herself in everything and do positive to be great. She has a maturity in dealing everything that she finds in herself. She always keeps her love although she has a love before. But she always keeps it. She believes that the empty room in her heart has filled with love. She doesn't force her love because she doesn't want to hurt her lover before. In the running of time, she believes  that true, sincere and holy love will bring them together with her lover. She believes that her environment will understand and accept the feelings of love that she feels.

A mature woman has the patience to face her lover that has an emotional. Fidelity of a mature woman always makes the person that she loves as a friend, who always there when she is happy and hard. A woman has a sincere love for her lover not because of who is her lover and what her lover has, but because of what it is her lover. Besides that a woman has to be a great and able to do everything in her life and her environment that love her without demeaning the dignity as a woman. She should be strong and emphatic in the face of her love.

Air Terjun Lembah Anai

Sumatera Barat dikelilingi oleh bukit-bukit, gunung-gunung, lembah-lembah, danau-danau dan air terjun. Salah satu air terjun yang mudah ditemui adalah air terjun Lembah Anai yang berada di kawasan Lembah Anai. Terdapat tiga air terjun dan satu telaga yang airnya berwarna kebiru-biruan. Salah satu air terjun terletak di pinggir jalan yaitu air terjun Lembah Anai dan dua lainnya tertutup oleh lebatnya hutan. Keindahan telaga dan dua air terjun lainnya dapat ditempuh sekitar 15 menit dari lokasi air terjun Lembah Anai.

Air Terjun Lembah Anai berlokasi di pinggir jalan raya Padang-Bukittinggi, yaitu kecamatan Sepuluh koto Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Sumber airnya dari gunung Singgalang yang airnya sangat jernih mengalir menyusuri  perbukitan dan lereng lalu mengalir melewati cagar alam sebelum sampai ke tebing yang memiliki ketinggian 50 m dan membentuk kawah tempat air berkumpul. Air terjun yang satu ini terletak dipinggir jalan raya, sehingga jika kita melewati jalur Bukittinggi – Padang akan melewati air terjun ini. Air terjun yang berkabut dan membentuk gugusan yang berwarna-warni jika disinari matahari.

Lembah Anai merupakan kawasan cagar alam dan terkenal dengan air. Cagar alam Lembah Anai terdapat beberapa tanaman langka salah satunya bunga bangkai (amorphyphalus titanium) yang tumbuh subur di tengah hutan. Selain itu terdapat beberapa tanaman kayu. Disamping itu terdapat hewan langka yang hamper punah seperti harimau sumatera, rusa, siamang, kera ekor panjang, beruk, trenggiling, kancil, tapir dan biawak.  Hewan yang sering dijumpai di sepanjang jalan menuju Lembah Anai adalah kera ekor panjang, siamang dan beruk yang selalu ,mencari makanan di sepanjang jalan raya.

Untuk memasuki cagar alam, dibutuhkan tenaga pendamping yang dapat mengantarkan pengunjung langsung ke tempat hewan-hewan biasa main dan mencari makan. Akses ke air terjun lembah anai sangat mudah ditemukan, karena lokasinya yang berada di pinggir jalan raya. Jika perjalanan dimulai dari Bandara Internasional Minang Kabau, hanya memerlukan waktu tidak lebih dari 1,5 jam.

JAM GADANG BUKITTINGGI (CLOCK TOWER / BIG CLOCK)

Bukittinggi is known as a tourist city in West Sumatera. It is known as the twin of Negeri Sembilan Malaysia. One of the tourist object attractions is the Jam Gadang (Clock Tower) in Bukittinggi. Jam Gadang mean big clock, it is located in the center of Bukittinggi, it is called Pasa Ateh (Pasar Atas).

Jam Gadang is a clock tower with a height of 26 meters and a baseline measure approximately 13 x 4 m2. It have four clock with diameter 80 cm for each clock, and clock are located at the top of the tower. The clocks were imported directly from Rotterdam, Netherlands, when Dutch colonialism in Indonesia and the engine is mechanically, it was produced by the engine that were made only two units in the world, it were namely the Jam Gadang and Big Ben in London, England.

Jam Gadang consist of several level and there is a pendulum in the top level. When the earthquake in 2007, the pendulum is broken and had to repair. At the bell, there manufacture’s written, Vortmann Relinghausen. Vortman is a watchmaker that Bernard Vortman and Recklinghausen is a city in Germany that manufactures engine hours in 1982. There are unique from the clock tower which is a mix of materials makes the tower without iron or cement, but only a mixture of lime, egg white and white sand. And then  occurrence of an error writing Roman numerals at the number IV written be IIII..

Jam Gadang was built in 1926 as a gift from the Queen of the Netherlands to Rook Maker secretary Fort De Cock in the reign of the Dutch East Indies. Jam Gadang was designed by Yazin Sutan Gigi Ameh and laying of the first stone by Rook Maker's first son who was 6 years old. Jam Gadang as a marker and the zero point of Bukittinggi. Shape of Jam Gadang’s roof has changed three times as well, the first time occupation of the Dutch East Indies government, shape of roof is round with rooster statue faces east on it. Then when the Japanese occupation was changed to a temple and last after Indonesia's independence, shape of roof was changed to a gonjong or to house’s roof in traditional Minangkabau.

Clock Tower is now used as a tourist attraction and has a surrounding parks include clowns who entertain visitors around the Clock Tower. Usually the public event are organized around the park near the tower. If visitors want to go to the top of the tower should pay some of money, and from above we would look beautiful town of Bukittinggi, panoramas and canyons Sianok.

Bukittinggi dikenal sebagai kota wisata di Sumatera Barat dan juga kembaran dari Negeri Sembilan Malaysia. Salah satu objek wisata di Bukittinggi adalah Jam Gadang (Jam besar). Jam Gadang terletak di pusat kota Bukittinggi yaitu Pasa Ateh (Pasar Atas) Bukittinggi. Jam Gadang merupakan menara jam dengan tinggi 26 meter dan ukuran dasar sekitar 13 x 4 m². Memiliki empat jam dengan diameter masing-masing 80 cm di bagian paling atas menara. Jam tersebut didatangkan langsung dari Rotterdam, Belanda. Jam Gadang digerakkan secara mekanik oleh mesin yang hanya dibuat dua unit di dunia yaitu Jam Gadang dan Big Ben di London Inggris.

Jam Gadang terdiri dari beberapa tingkat dan paling atas sebagai tempat penyimpanan bandul. Saat gempa di tahun 2007, bandul tersebut patah dan harus diganti. Pada bagian Lonceng tertulis pabrik pembuat jam yaitu Vortmann Relinghausen. Vortman adalah nama pembuat jam yaitu Benhard Vortman dan Recklinghausen adalah nama kota di Jerman yang memproduksi mesin jam di tahun 1982.

Ada keunikan dari Jam Gadang yaitu bahan membuat menara tanpa campuran besi atau pun semen, namun hanya campuran kapur, putih telur dan pasir Putih. Tulisan angka pada jam terdapat kesalahan yaitu angka Romawi IV ditulis IIII.

Dalam Jam Gadang

Jam Gadang dibangun pada tahun 1926 sebagai hadiah Ratu Belanda kepada Rook Maker sekretaris Fort De Cock pada masa pemerintahan Hindia-Belanda. Jam Gadang di rancang oleh Yazin Sutan Gigi Ameh dan peletakan batu pertama oleh putra pertama Rook Maker yang masih berusia 6 tahun. Jam Gadang sebagai penanda dan titik nol kota Bukittinggi. 



Bentuk Jam Gadang memiliki tiga kali perubahan pada atapnya, pertama saat pendudukan pemerintahan Hindia-Belanda atapnya berbentuk bulat dengan patung ayam jantan menghadap ke arah timur di atasnya. Kemudian saat pendudukan Jepang diubah menjadi bentuk klenteng dan terakhir setelah Indonesia merdeka diubah menjadi bentuk gonjong atau atap pada rumah adat tradisional Minangkabau.

Sekarang Jam Gadang dijadikan sebagai objek wisata dan memiliki taman di sekitarnya yang dilengkapi oleh badut-badut yang menghibur pengunjung sekitar Jam Gadang. Biasanya acara-acara bersifat umum diselenggarakan di sekitar taman dekat menara jam ini. Jika pengunjung ingin menaiki puncak Jam Gadang harus membayarkan sejumlah uang, dan dari atas akan terlihat keindahan kota Bukittinggi, panorama dan ngarai Sianok.

MINANGKABAU TRIBE

Minangkabau is an ethnicity or tribe from Indonesia, commonly known as ethnic  Minang. Its region include West Sumatera, some mainland of Riau, Bengkulu and the west coast of North Sumatera, southwest of Aceh and Negeri Sembilan Malaysia. 

Minang tribe is unique, because tribal lineage is based on mother or matrilineal descent. In matrilineal system, mastery treasures are held by women, while men only slightly. Men after puberty, they can’t stay at his parent’s home, because that home only for woman with her husband and her childreen. They will sleep in “Surau” like a small Mosque and they will learn about life and Islam at there.  And after men married, he would come to the house of his wife and his in-laws.

In Minangkabau, there are three important elements who build and maintain the cultural integrity and customs, they are Alim Ulama (Scholars), Cerdik Pandai (Intellectual), and Ninik Mamak. Alim Ulama maintain for integrity of religion (Islam), Cerdik Pandai maintain for integrity of knowledge and Ninik Mamak maintain for integrity of customs. This is called as “Tungku Tigo Sajarangan”. Minangkabau have democratic system, all matters are discussed by three elements by concensus. On the other hand customs and cultures of Minang put woman as heir inheritance and kinship. The lineage referred to the mother is known as “Samande” and father is known as Sumando (in-law) and father have to obtain and be respected like a visitor.  Women determine the successful implementation of the decisions made by men. Women handle a crucial role. However, men still hold the authority has the power to communities.

Minang society is known as the nomads society. Especially men, if he doesn’t wander, he would be mocked by his friends. However, today not only men wander, but women wander too for continue her study, career or for trading career. For this reason minang society is stay in everywhere, they have spacious thought, freedom of life to change the fate, to reach knowledge and wealth.

The cultures of Minang is very strong in Islam. In their life is known as “Adat Basandi Syarak dan Syarak Basandi Kitabullah”. Its mean that cultures of Minang is based on rule and rule is based on Al Quran, so Minang cultures is based on teachings of Islam. All of Minang societies embraces Islam, if they leave Islam so directly they will be exit from Minang society and they are not admitted as Minang Societies. This is known as  “Dibuang Sepanjang Adat”.

In economic sector, Minang societies are famous in trading as professional and intellectual. They are know as intellectual people, so that’s why they stay in all of province in Indonesia and moreover in foreign countries. Any profession besides trading, they are known as politicians, writer, scholars, teacher and journalist. Their success are reached when they wander in outside of Minang region.

Many politicians of Indonesia from Minang, such as Drs. Mohammad Hatta as first vice president of Indonesia, Tan Malaka as vice International Communist for South East of Asia, Muhammad Yamin as pioneer of “Sumpah Pemuda”, Chaerul Saleh, Emil Salim, Azwar Anas, Fahmi Idris and many more. Minangkabau is one of ethnic in Indonesia that always grasp in governmental cabinet besides Java ethnic.

In Intellectual sector, Minang societies have habit to think and analyze all knowledge. They also is known as superior entrepreneur in economic not only in Indonesia and moreover in foreign countries.
